Who am I?

I previously worked in the DevOps branch of Unilever as a software development apprentice after a gap year from Sixth Form, I felt very fortunate to get the role as it was very competitive and being able to work at one of the biggest Consumer goods companies in the world was a great learnig experience. I was working on internal company projects and even being part of the Enterprise Architecture team during my time there. I learned a lot about how to coordinate projects as a larger team, and even spent time working in global teams from areas like Brazil and India, working on a multitude of software solutions and doing some design work. I also spent some time in Salesforce, learning the admin side as well as learning Apex however it was a challenge adapting to pre-built software solution at first, but I quickly learned how to come up to speed.

Although my time in Unilever was valuable, I knew that I was more passionate about games development than I was about software development, I wanted to build games, not websites. Something that I could share with a large (or small) audience. That’s why I am now studying at the University of Staffordshire as a Second Year Games Development Student, working on games projects in my own time alongside the modules we complete during lectures and allocated sessions.

I’m currently looking for opportunities with any game development studio for an internship placement, hoping to learn what I can from the industry before completing my final year and getting my degree.
